Apple is spending millions per day on their new AI
Apple is heavily investing in AI, spending millions daily to develop several AI models—with their most advanced, Ajax GPT, which has now reportedly surpassed OpenAI’s GPT-3.5 in power.
Apple's AI endeavors include a chatbot for AppleCare and automating Siri tasks.
With the resources behind them, my guess is Apple will soon become a leader in consumer facing AI.
Here’s why: In last week’s edition, we talked about Microsoft’s backpack, but more importantly, how hardware Is the key to winning the AI race. If you missed that, go back and read it.
With only 14% of the US population using ChatGPT, mass adoption has a long way to go. So, this is my theory of how it plays out:
Apple puts Ajax GPT on their iPhones, and now it’s in the pocket of over 50% of the US population. We’ve now gone from 14% to over 50% in one iPhone update.
That’s the true power of owning the hardware. It’s just a matter of when this plays out, not if.

ChatGPT performs 7x better than MBA grads
AI in business. How viable is it?
This is the main question that’s been plaguing the business world since the release of ChatGPT, and while there are a wide range opinions, we’re slowly starting to understand how AI can play it’s role and help businesses crush competition.
A recent study at UPenn put these questions to the test, comparing ChatGPT’s business ideas to 200 Wharton MBA students.
They asked the students and ChatGPT the same question, “generate an idea for a new product or service appealing to college students that could be made available for $50 or less.”
They judged the answers based on 3 things:
Quantity of ideas
The average quality of ideas
The number of truly exceptional ideas
Here’s what they found:
Quantity of ideas: To nobody’s surprise, ChatGPT dominated this category, producing ideas far faster than the MBA students.
The average quality of ideas: The average purchase probability by the MBA students answers were 40%, and ChatGPT’s were 47% - another point in the win column for ChatGPT.
The number of truly exceptional ideas: Of the top 10% of ideas, 12% of those were generated by the students, and 88% were generated by ChatGPT.
A clean sweep. This study adds to the growing wall of evidence that AI is becoming more than capable at competing with humans on certain tasks, so next time you’re looking to start your next venture or side hustle, don’t ask your buddy who went to business school - ask ChatGPT.

How to use Perplexity AI to research 5x faster
If you’ve used ChatGPT a lot before, you know that sometimes it can be, well… frustrating.
Sometimes, it can just spit out basic answers that aren’t super helpful if you need a real in depth dive into a topic. The solution is Perplexity.ai.
I think of Perplexity as a tool that is thorough, academic, smart librarian that is great at answering questions very accurately.
ChatGPT, on the other side, is more like a politician:
He can answer any question very fast, but when the topics get advanced, he sometimes hallucinates some weird facts.
Here are 2 time-saving ways to use Perplexity AI:
Use Perplexity to do market research
Analyze market trends and customer sentiments by generating market reports and competitor analyses.
Use questions like:
“Create a comparative analysis of…”
“What are the biggest pain points of [COMPETITOR]’s customer?”
“Research the 5 biggest trends in [MARKET]”
Example Prompt:
“Provide a comparative analysis of the top three logo creation AI tools in terms of effectiveness and affordability for small businesses.”
Use perplexity for more in depth summaries
Perplexity.ai can streamline your research process by generating relevant information and insights on various topics, helping you gather valuable content faster.
Use questions like:
“Create an overview of…”
“Tell me 5 things about [TOPIC]…”
“What are the biggest mistakes [TARGET AUDIENCE] makes with their business?”
Example Prompt:
"Generate an overview of the key business strategies that have led successful AI newsletters to grow their online presence."
